Management Team

Just about everyone in the United Rental Group management team has worked at senior level for one, two or even more of the major vehicle rental networks. Whilst we don't profess to know all the answers to running a successful rental business, we learned the hard way in our past careers and can certainly advise Licensees of what not to do when managing their own businesses.

From our own experience there is no magic formula for running a successful rental operation (so be wary of anyone telling you there is) and this view is confirmed by all our 400 plus Licensees each running their own profitable businesses in slightly different ways. Which is why United management doesn't get involved in the decision-making process at any of our Licensee businesses - unless of course we are asked.

Regional Management Team

United Rental Group employs seven Regional Development Managers to cover UK in the United Rental System Regions we designate as Scotland & Northern Ireland; North England; Midlands & North Wales; South Wales & South West England; East Anglia & North London; South England & South London. All are experienced car and van hire professionals, who are out on the road working with existing United Licensees and looking for new prospects five days a week.

Executive Team

We have five Executive Directors heading the Territory Development (2), Accounts and Fleet Divisions of our business, all (hopefully) assisted by a Managing Director who has been with United Rental Group since it first started trading. These might venture out of Durrant House less often than the Regional Management team (however, you should see our telephone bills!) but are always pleased to visit any Licensee's offices at any time and discuss matters of mutual interest regarding vehicle rental.

Head Office Team

The above senior management is backed-up by excellent Fleet Sales, Fleet Support, Rentplan Sales, Telemarketing, Accounts, Training and Administration Departments here at Durrant House. Again, most of this back-up team has many years (this time we gave up counting when it got to 400 years) of combined car and van hire industry experience.

In their past careers, our team has washed millions of cars & vans, issued hundreds of thousands of rental agreements and dealt with most of the customer issues United Rental System Licensees deal with every day. Some have also managed large rental networks in UK and overseas and some have purchased many thousands of new vehicles from various manufacturers.

Additional Expertise

Our Group also has practical experience of today's internet-age requirements and can advise on areas such as Search Engine Management, Website Design, Yield Management and Search Engine Optimisation. And if we don't know the answer ourselves, we know competent professionals who do.
